Berber Vintage Coral Enamel Box / Cuff Bracelet

Fabulous and fascinating Berber piece.  It is a box – but the lid and base pop out and it transforms into a hinged cuff bracelet.  It was common for Berber women to hide their wealth in jewellery disguised as a box in this way.

Large old piece, handmade and decorated with  enamel.

Height 12cm x 6.5cm width

Probably dates from around 1940s.
