All of Anima Mundi Palo Santo goods are 100% sustainably grown and ethically harvested in Peru. They work directly with a small native family from the Chiclayo – Lambayeque region in northern Peru. They ethically cultivate these naturally fallen trees, while replanting in the wild. For this myst, the Palo Santo oil is distilled on the farmers land.

The name Palo Santo means Hold Wood – in order for Palo Santo to gain it’s medicinal properties, the tree must die a death of natural old age (around 80-90 years). It must then remain in it’s natural habitat for 4-10 years and only then do the properties come alive.
Used for thousands of years in Peru and Ecuador by healers and shamans, Palo Santo is still very alive in modern culture and it is now considered across the world as being one of the great resins.

Anima Mundi work with a native family from the Chiclayo region in Northern Peru, who have been stewards of Palo Santo’s native habitat for hundreds of years. They ethically wildharvest naturally fallen trees that have aged for at least 3-5 years on the ground, while also replanting in the wild. It is within this aging process that the protective and mystical resins develop.
Shake well and spritz 3-5 times around you. This can also be used to clear your atmosphere, or as a gentle and refreshing woody perfume.
