Gorgeous piece.  Chinese porcelain carving of the 8 Immortals.  Hand painted, dating to late 70s/early 80s Hong Kong.

The Eight Immortals are considered to be signs of prosperity and longevity.  Each immortal’s power is believed to be transferred to a vessel that can bestow life or destroy evil. Together, these eight vessels are called the “Covert Eight Immortals”.
