Puja is a devotional practice performed by Buddhists, Hindus and Jains to celebrate a significant spiritual event or pray to a deity. Puja is also usually performed at the start of a new sadhana practice.
These types of spoons are used to serve holy water (Gangajal) in private temples at home and in public temples, and are a common altar piece for ritual. The Brass temple cup is used for holy water to be offered to the worshippers.
