Gratitude for today as I head to the airport to jump on a plane where I will sit for many hours, heading to Europe to see my parents and brother. My aunt and cousins. Old friends and my childhood home. Gratitude that I am able to do this and for the joy it will bring to my daughter and my parents to spend time together. I don't believe in regrets. I believe that everything happens as part of our journey. But I do sometimes catch my breath as I think how life would have been if my family and I had lived closer to each other for all these years.
